I am picking up a new cable in the morn however I tried to put a rope through for a temp fit so it will not sit in the mud. I had a hard time trying to get anything trough the hole. I can get a coat hanger through but that is about it. any rope that I though that would hold it got stuck on something in the tube. I could not see anything down the tube, or it could be just that the rope was getting bunched up in the tube before the pin that keeps it away from the fiberglass? Either way Iwill give it a go tomorrow. If anyone can tell me about that pin it will be helpful. thank you...

keel

hello rn, i have never worked on a 25, but on a 22, catalina uses a " turning ball " to direct the cable through the hull of the boat. it is almost the same size as the pipe you are sending the cable through. it has a groove cut around the circumference to guide the cable in changing its direction as the keel pivots up and down.the cable enters the groove on the aft side of the ball. good luck john
