Trying to understand this modified 40.5 rigging!

Hello all,

I do not remember what rabbit hole I was going down but found this old 40.5 listing in New South Wales, apparently it made it there across the pacific so . Hunter 40.5 Legend Of course the listing is lacking a lot of info but I want to learn!

It does not appear to have the additional spinnaker winches, but it is running a spinnaker and has some mechanism for a inner forestay? Looks like they added a running backstay?

As best I recall, the winches all look located in their factory location.

It has an inner forestay which was a factory option. I have one. Probably no spinnaker winches since it is likely an asymmetrical, I would guess. Yes, it appears to have running backstays. The factory did not. Someone was convinced they were smarter than the spar manufacturer / designer. The hours on the engine are low or at least in line. This appears to be a very nice example and well cared for.
