Trying to locate companionway latch

We are trying to replace a companionway latch that was originally made by Schaefer marine for our 1984 O'Day 39. All hardware is missing with exception of the plate shown in the attached photo. Can anyone identify what this latch looks like with all parts together? And are there any resources to replace it?

The part missing is a stainless plate with a hole in it. The plate bolted to the slider and when slid aft, that tongue would go through the slot and stick outside. There was a hole in the tongue so that a lock could be put into the hole, stopping the slider from opening.

EDIT; My buddy's 1984 Tartan 37 has one like that on the companionway. Looks like no one makes a hasp like that anymore. Such a "tongue" plate could be easily fabricated
