I do enjoy my 36 MKII, but it occurred to me sailing the recent Sarasota - Key West race in the wicked Gulf of Mex, my boat is drastically scimpy on hand-holds below deck. There's essentially one interrupted row down the center of the cabin top. I'd like to install a continuous wood (to match existing) on the Starboard inboard side and perhaps a shorter section on the Port side. I'm not a fan of drilling holes in my f/glass, but I realize I'll need to at least drill a row and install screws. Has anyone done this before? I'd be surprised if I'm the first to think of it?.... Thanks.

I know guys who have added handholds by using existing thru bolts for genny tracks, travelers etc. Always been single holds and either stainless or more like the kind you'd find on a car.
