Trying to find replacements, does anyone recognize the logo?

I have a Sonic 23, like mougly, I'm trying to get some basics sorted out, then work the cosmetic stuff.

Does anyone recognize the manufacturer of this mast and rigging?

Most of the blocks and fairleads sport the logo seen at the base of the mast (below), although there are some other bits that say Merriman. I need the name so I can replace the gooseneck for the boom. Or maybe I don't need the name, just a source for the part.

Gooseneck I'd like to replace (I-channel as well) both are pretty beat up.

I don't know but they are not Merriman Bros Or Merriman Inc., the only aluminum spars they ever made was for Chris Craft. I can't vouch for what happened after they were sold to Holdbrook.

I have a hunch that is the logo of "custom ladder company". They made normal home style aluminum ladders and also some boat masts. I think they were an Austrailian company. Just my best guess. You could probably sub a different goooseneck with a little adaption. Good luck.

Joe, I think you're right about the mast and boom not being Merriman, I think it was just some of the rigging being Merriman, I'd call them deadeyes if I didn't know better, but since I don't know better, I guess I will call them that. I know that when I am done and the sails are put away, I clip the halyards to them.

And if you look closely (hard to see with the weathering on the mast base) that logo can be read as CCC, as well. And yes, Made in Canada. Any recommendations on where to find a gooseneck like the one in the picture? I'm willing to replace the track it runs on, but it needs a couple of things to make me happy with it (without replacing the boom).

1. Has to be able to slide and lock into an external track, preferably 1"x1/8" I channel
and either
2. Needs to provide a cylinder for the existing bolt to fit through vertically in line with the mast
or
3. Needs to connect directly to the vertical tab attached to the end of the boom.

I've seen some stuff at Rig-rite, but those folks don't like online communication and I haven't had a chance to call them, plus all of their solutions (at least to my untutored eyes) appear to have open instead of closed spaces for securing the bolt through.

Thanks for the help, so far. Hopefully I won't have to get green sand, flasks, and a blast furnace and make my own. (-:

that doesn't look like an oem part... but that's typical for older sailboats. I suggest you install a new gooseneck and bracket rather than knocking yourself out looking for a match. It won't negatively affect the boat's value. That slider is to facilitate a downhaul.. most sailors use a cunningham to tension the luff instead. Rigging a cunningham would allow you to remove that portion of the track and install a fixed bracket... do a search in the various chandleries and hardware manufacturers online to see examples.

It's a shame they're out of business.

I will check with EB Spars and with Rig-Rite. What I've been seeing is that it is pretty rare to find a sliding gooseneck where the toggle and gooseneck are integrated. I may have to get the gooseneck and an appropriately low-profile toggle, I will work with them and see what they recommend.
