We picked up a pink stain from a wet red towel on our boat cushion. It was a sinfully hot day and even though the towel had been washed several times, with the heat and water, color from the towel still leeched onto the cushion. End of the day my husband and I were picking up everything and saw the stain. We were sick!!!! I got out everything I had on board to get it quick, even a duluted bleach solution didn't touch it! Next day I went to the boat supply stores in my area and they didn't have anything that said it would remove vinyl stains. Went home and got on my computer and searched for vinyl cleaners and up popped Island Girl Products from Hawaii. I e-mailed the company for a suggestion and immediately got a reply from the owner! A "detailed" reply on their products and how to use. I ordered right away. My husband was shocked to see what it did. Not only to the stain but to the other spots, scratches, things we couldn't get up before! I almost bought the 4oz. bottle, but thrilled I got the 16oz. Pick up the Sea Glow too! Awesome products! Maybe, but just don't try Simply Brilliant wax. I still havent gotten it all off. It absorbs pollution (like diesel smoke) like you wouldn't believe. Be careful out there. Mitch

Good Simply Brilliant Results

I have had the exact opposite results. I have used Collinite Fleetwise Wax and various Teflon waxes. Not only do they absorb diesel soot and pollution, ( my boat is under a flight path into an airport) I can not remove the black stains without removing the wax. However, with Simply Brilliant wax, I lightly spray diluted pink, and wipe with the microfiber cloth and the black stains come right off. I have found that the wax to be extremely hard and resistance to fuel and pollution stains.

Hey Mitch- should have called me!

All you had to do to remove the deisel smoke was to wipe over with some IG Pink and water and then shine up with Silkenseal (about 5 minutes work)! A lot better than getting the soot down into the gelcoat pores- and you transome would still be shiny and new looking.Perhaps it would help if I explained a little more.The only significant complaints I have had (even from myself!) with use of Superwax is if it on a bit too thick and/or over an incorrectly prepared gelcoat surface. The surface is then a bit "sticky/oly" becuase of the excess silicone that accumulates on the surface. This does tend to collect dust/soot/air pollution on the surface if left as is. I saw this when I "slathered" the wax on when first using it on my own boat. Youuse the "pink trick" that I just mentioned (acutally any of our cleaners is OK).The completely cured surface if properly done is glass hard. and all I do now to remove surface car/airplane soot etc is to hose off and wipe over with microfiber cloth. Use the cloth means that you often do not even need to use a cleaner- the cloth really sucks up grime, oil and soot.I completely redid the instructions recently (and unfortunately you did not get the latest version back then) and it's now posted on my web site www.IslandGirlproducts.com and also on this we site (see above). There is a trouble shooting section for when results do not come out quite as expected.ONe final thing: I do make incremental changes to the formula in response to cusomer feed back, and the latest version of SB Superwax now going out is designed to be more forgiving of misuse.. It is more runny , however, and does have to be used with Silkenseal unless being used on really good solid gelcoat.I want everyone to know that I totally stand behind the products and if you ever get difficulties I am only to glad to help and if you are STILL not satisfied there is warranty!ThanksJimWillisPS please call be on the 1-800-441-4425 so we can discuss.
