Truedesign through hulls and seacocks

Hi.

Does anyone have experience with the Truedesign through hulls and seacocks from New Zealand?. I believe these are not Marelon but a different material. I am considering them to replace a broken bronze seacock.

Marelon is nothing more than DuPont Zytel, a glass reinforced nylon. Truedesign also uses glass reinforced nylon.. These will require the load bearing collars in order to meet standards such as the ABYC... Personally I prefer a real integrated flange not a band-aid approach that brings it into standards compliance... I think the valves are a good product as are the thru-hulls but these together for not make a compliant install unless the load bearing collars are used...

Hi, new to the forum.
Looks as though the load bearing collar is to Truedesign what the 93 Series is to Forespar. It's difficult for me to see exactly how the collar engages the Truedesign valve. I think the two aforementioned are similar in design theory as the backing plate/flange adapter without screws penetrating the hull approach.
Is there anyone here who can speak to the load bearing collars being used by Truedesign; if not the 93 Series by Forespar. The more northern the latitude the better. Thanks....
