We batch tested that beer [20 gallons, carefully crafted] and it was the favorite, again at many parties. My brother [the old Navy officer], opened my office refrigerator, at a party, saw a 6 pack of clear bottle beer that had the painted factory label...
"Snake Bite Beer"
He had just helped himself, just as the Brewmaster and I walked in and saw the "thief"
He had just downed about half and said...
"That is unusual tasting, but it is very good!"
Brewmaster screamed "no!", I said "whoa!" that is our
test beer.
In typical Naval Officer way , my Brother shrugged and said...
"I just tested it for you

" while finishing the
rare test bottle.

____
brewed a beer in the basement
My first try, I forgot to add a small drop of "Antifoamer" when bottled [recycled Quart bottles].
20 exploded during the month off from school. Don't ever do that...
The remaining 20 were carefully cooled and we all waited for the GREAT taste...
First bottle opened and it spewed a stream of foam about 4 inch tall, for what seemed like 10 minutes.
About 2 tablespoon of liquid were left.
We aptly named it...
Volcano Beer
Past Brew maker...
Jim...
PS: When home brewing, ain't no such thing as Stinkin...4.2% alcohol beer. We called ours Malt Wine! Less filling for sure.
