Triple Rope Clutch

I need to remove the Triple Clutch on the PORT side of the cabin top. I undid
six bolts and it will not come loose. Any Suggestions?
The new one is a prefect match so I am assuming there are only six bolts.
PS - The bolts do not go through the cabin roof.

Couple thinks come to mind-- one there is a bedding holding it. Try using a heat gun to break the kick. Others more experience here my have more detail. After that I would think it held there from years of compression-- I would still use a heat gun and see if you can get some separation with a putty knife.

I agree with the putty knife, but it is possible that it was bedded with 5200 and if so, you may damage the part or the deck before the heat affects it.... use a stiff putty knife with a slightly sharpend edge to force under it.... and if you lubricate it slightly with wd-40, the putty knife will cut thru the bedding compound easily. even if it is 5200.

I removed this clutch last year, and replaced with new. The clutch wasn't bedded in 3M 5200, but was set in bedding compound. The heat gun softened it up enough, to remove. The bolts screw into a metal backing plate in between the top of the coach roof and inside cabin liner, that was factory installed. I believe this is the case with other factory supplied hardware where thru bolting wasn't used. Good luck

I got it off. Hammer and a block of wood. Bedded around the six bolt holes.
New one is on.
