I tried the docking cleats at the stern of the boat today. They actually worked reasonably well. Had to tie some smaller spare lines to the jib sheets to extend them. I then secured them to the stern rail so that they would not get pulled foward when releasing during a tack. I like the idea of a tiller tamer in any event. I had been using a bunge cord but does not work well to hold a corse.
