Tridata Speed Sensor

My Tridata Speed Sensor does not work. The wheel is real hard to turn. Should I get a new wheel or take this apart and clean it? How does it come apart?Thanks Jim

Clean It

If it turns hard it sounds like it just needs cleaning. Unscrew and remove the sensor but have a plug ready to insert immediately as you will have a large stream of water. You may be able to clean wheel without removing it. If not, the wheel revolves on a pin that can be pushed through to release the wheel. Make sure you reinstall wheel in proper position. Good luck.
