Okay, I can't post pictures. I get a cookie error. I don't know why.
But the result was that I layed up a 5x6 inch piece with a dozen small 5/16 inch thick blocks. The skins were 2.1 ounce CSM and the resin is polyester. On lay-up I got good wet-out on both sides but on cure I had white spots that indicate resin starvation. So I had a marginal sample and tested it any way. It failed in shear at 4 foot pounds of force on a hammer drop. The resin did not pull away from the wood and the CSM was well saturated. Priming the wood prior to applying the glass would make a big difference.
