My trtaveller is also in the original position as
is yours. The rest of my brightwork I have done with cetol but the tiller I just
used teak oil as it is easy to touch up when it gets a bit scuffed. I would be
reluctant to movethe traveller as it seems a pretty strong set up where it
is. The sheet I tend to throw on the stern cushion to keep it away from the
rudder post and I think it is a bit easier to reach there when needed.In
one of the Vega newsletters a while ago was a description of how one
person rigged a main sheet/traveller equivalent set up on the cabin roof.
Some concern was expressed by another owner based on the designer's thoughts as
to wether the coach roof was really robust enough in the long term for
this.
