While visiting Luzren (Lucerne to use English speakers) I expected to see lake boats. Paddle wheel steamers.

But then the winds brought out a group of sailors

looked like they were holding a Thursday night race.

Not sure about the breed of this one.

It looked like it would be a fun boat to sail on Lake Lucerne.

John,

Don’t go making your Cal 35 girl jealous….she has already given you some grief this year…don’t make it worse;)

Looks life a fun trip. Wife and I thought about the Swiss Alps for our honeymoon…but ended up in Banff, AB instead.

Does the “What happens in Switzerland stays in Switzerland!” Really work?

Or am I going to get in trouble?

Honey I was just looking.

Yes @rgranger that is what I saw. An Austrian built boat near Salzburg. You know these foreign girls drive our local girls mad when sailors talk about them. So I just snapped the image for us sailors. Did not even go down to the water to assess her curves and shape.

Not much big water so you need to find water where you can…
This River boat sports a couple of poles so it looks like it might sail the Seine if the wind is right and the bridges are not too low…

Then there are the river barges that steam along with out regard for low bridges.

So how do Parisians teach the art of sailing to their youth…
Here is one way I observed walking about the city..
