Traveler controls

I am getting new traveler controls for my 1984 Catalina 30. Does anyone know if the Harken Mid-Range series (1520 & 1521) fit the track on this boat? Catalina says that the track is 1 inch and Harken specs their track at 1 1/16 inch. Has anyone got any experience with this?ThanksRichard

Check out Garhauer. They have a complete traveler refit unit made just for older Catalina 30s. Really a nice refit and the price is a lot less than most every one else.

Garhauer not taking orders

Thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunately, Garhauer is not taking orders for travelers right now - they are backed up. Maybe in early June they said. In any case I don't want to replace the whole traveler, just the control blocks. The car and track are ok.Richard

Traveler problem

I had the same problem on my 84 C-30 were the plastic blocks wore out. I tried to replace and could not find anything that would work. Ended up buying for Catalina new block/cleat assembly. About $50.00 each. Look and work great.

Garhaurer is promoting a package deal for Catalina 30s at this time.(Vang, Traveler etc) Have them fax you the promotion. I read it last week and thought it was quite comphrenhive.

I purchased the traveler and rigid vang,it took two months to get but well worth the wait.
