Hi all,I recently purchased an Islander 36 which is in need of a new traveler or at least some repairs. The traveler is located at mid-boom and the track is bent mid-span. Although I am planning to race in the future, I see this as a safety issue and not a performance issue. I am afraid that the car will very shortly "jump the track" while under load and would like to repair/fix the traveler sooner rather than later. I am not sure if I can simply replace the track or if the entire traveler system needs to be replaced (age of traveler unknown). I would like a system that I can grow into once I start racing and am looking for parts/kits from Lewmar, Harken, Shaefer etc. Do any of you have any experience with replacing travelers? Any suggestions regarding brands, systems etc. are greatly appreciated.-grommet
