Don't start the engine until you follow the engine manual for setting the regulator valve. The engine could run wide open, and you would have no way to stop it.

If you don't have a manual, you can download one online.

thanks for replying okawbow , that sounds a bit scary ive got the factory settings . im gonna see if the old settings are similar when putting it back . if the spindle on the top of the is scewd anti clock wise ,unless it gets stuck , that should bring the revs down . i think . i will make sure when i pull the lever back that it dose that . is there know way of stopping the engine runs away ?. ive put a a new spring and a nipple in the fuel regulator and cleaned every thing . im very nervous about this

Have something ready to positively stop the air intake.. a towel with a rubber ball works.. Remove the air cleaner/strainer and be ready to plug the intake if it begins to run away. Just make sure that whatever you use can't be ingested by the engine and end up causing a lot of damage.

Ok thanks . There's also a decompression lever on top of the head so I would think pushing that open should stop the engine but I will also have a towel or something ready to shove in the air intake thanks again
