transport question

First of all, many thanks for the great info here. Very helpful stuff. So, I pulled the trigger this week and I am now under contract for a '86 Catalina 30 after 20+ years away from sailing. Yeah!!! Not sure if this is the first or second happiest day. Anyway, she is nearly 600 miles away. Survey next week, then hopefully load her up and bring her home. Not by me, a professional. What issues shall I be concerned about regarding 600 miles of asphalt? Surely the vibration can't be good for her. Any concerns about the engine and related systems, thru hulls, electronics, etc.? I can pack many things, but some can't be removed or isolated from the road bumps. Am I thinking too much or justifiably concerned?

Don't worry about it. Whoever is moving it should know what they are doing.

Where to park it and the slip fees per month should be much more important to be concerned about, hopefully you should have figured that out before.

Make sure you hire a company specialized in boat transport. They will have all the expertise to safely move your boat. As then about thir insurance and get soem references.

Else, get some friends together and bring the boat home on her own bottom. It was a fun trip when we did this with the IP, bringing her from Traverse City, Michigan to Montreal.

Cheers
