One thing that I neglected to do this weekend while looking over my new catalina 22 was to measure the transom size. I'm wanting to get some vinyl lettering cut out to put on it next time I get it out of storage, but it's about 3.5 hours away and very inconvenient to get at.
Anyone have an approximate size of the area that lettering would go on the transom? I'm wanting to do something like this :

I'll probably curve the tops and bottom into an oval shape, but I need to know what dimensions I'm looking at to have it cut without having the kicker motor cover it up and still have it centered.
Anyone with direct access to their boat that could take a measurement for me?
