My atomic-4 has seen it's last days. Instead of having her rebuilt, I've opted to put an outboard on the transom. At 6'4" I've no room at all for servicing. If you know of a boatyard in the bay area that has mounted an outboard on the transom; please let me know. Tom T

I wouldn't

I believe you will find it to be useless in the type of weather you see in SF Bay. Every time you crest a large wave the outboard will lift out of the water. Unfortunately you may not discover this until you need it the most. That said, I cannot imagine it to be all that difficult. The transom on a P28-1 is relatively flat and you can get to the inside to install thru bolts for an adjustible motor mount. Too bad you are not closer. I would be happy to relieve you of your old A4. Tim R.

Rescued

I appreciate your response; I've decided to purchase a rebuilt A4 from Moyer Marine. Tom T. My Friday

Good decision

Don Moyer is a super guy. They do great work. I am sure you will be pleased with your "new" A4. Tim R.
