I've got an issue on my Universal 25 (approx 1983)with a Hurth Transmission - -I've had the Transmssion fluid changed and it currently is at the appropriate level. At slower speeds the the engine occasionally comes "out of gear" with no movement on the shift handle. To re-engage in forward (happens in FWD only) Have to put shifter in Neutral drop the RPM's to idle than shift back to forward before engine will re-engage. This only happens at slower speeds and in Forward gear setting. Is this the start of a gradually worsening problem!!?? Anyone with any input on cause would be great. Thanks,

Check Cable

Check the cable length / play at the transmission gear lever. it could be that the cable has been sliding somewhat so that the forward doesn't engage all the way. You can also send an email to Hurth, which is now part of ZF transmissions. Good luck, Hans

check the C30 tech notes

The issue of hurth transmission slipping is addressed in the compilation of the C30 tech notes. They go thru a very detail but straight forward fix for this problem.
