My 1981 Catalina is equipped with a fresh water cooled Universal 5411.My problem is a transmission leak.I learned that the transmission is fastened to the bell housing from the inside by four bolts. I suspect the engine must be removed first in order to separate the bell housing and transmission from the engine.Is this correct? Or, is it possible to separate the two without removing the engine, although the rear engine mounts are fastened to the bell housing?You experience in this matter will be helpful. Thanks.
