We have a 1989 32' Hunter Vision, the boat had Simrad instruments on it when we boght it. They have slowly died. My question is, will the Simrad transducer work with our Garmin GPSMAP? I would love to avoid running new transducer wires.

I had to replace mine also. The problem is not so much that you have to run new wires - but that you have to make larger holes in the hull to intall the new ones. Running wires is going to be easy to do - and you will like that they have quick disconnect plugs near the transducers. As far as will they work with the GPS - I would say that in most cases yes - but is is a good question for the manufacturer. Good luck.
