Hi, all were gettin short..... One of my spring time jobs is a new transducer. Is there a specific place to install. Its a thru hull. old one is port side just about even wf front of keel. any thoughts??? thanks Red

I think that the position forward of the keel is the most appropriate place for tranducers. The speed transducer may get false reading if they are aside of the keel and the depth transducer is best to be forward for as much advanced warning as possible. I realize that 10 feet is not going to make a big difference but every second can help.
Check your mfg. spec for the placement.
