Transducer Failure?

Hi all and hope all is well with you and yours.

I have a Garmin GPS 41s with an Airmar in hull transducer. Up until now, (14 years now) it really worked well for me and I've had only one annoying problem of my own doing. I keep the transducer housing filled with mineral oil, which (because I didn't do the best sealing job) leaks out over a season.
When I re-launched a few weeks ago, I re-filled with oil again but this time, the depth finder function does not work at all. The Main unit works perfectly otherwise. GPS and speed, as well as all charts are all fine. All link connectors were pulled, cleaned and re-connected....still no readings.
Any ideas?

Stay well and Happy Sailing

Power on - checked with a DVM - OK
Connections both at the transducer and the "Main Unit" cleaned and reset - OK
Ground connection - OK
Breaker on - OK
Then perhaps the transducer after 14 helpful hard working years has given up the ghost.
Contacting the manufacturer might yield some helpful information. They may have a Refurbishing program. Or a new transducer is in your future....

Just conjecture here.

Oh well. I knew the outcome before I asked. Just hoping I may have missed something. Thank you for your reply.

Just wanted to let you know, I purchased a Airmar unit on ebay that was not wired for my Raymarine system. I connected by splicing wires with heat shrink waterproof connectors. Unit works great so theirs really no need to buy the unit with a specific brand connector if a generic is cheaper.
