speaking of oil, in Hotrod Magazine last month (or so) they did a story on engine oil as it relates to the recent rash of flat tappet camshaft FAILURES occurring through out the nation. Turns out that the EPA in their infinite wisdom has ordered the removal of a key additive (zinc I think?
) in motor oil because it's not needed with roller tappets and it makes the catalytic converter get a head ache. The only problem is older flat lifters need the protection. Solution? Use diesel engine oil. Cool huh?
