Trailering the Vega

For those with dual axle trailers, can anyone comment on how the keel is centered, in relation to the axles?

Most, but not all, of the pics I've seen make it look like the keel is more or less centered on the axles. Will this get me close to the appropriate tongue weight of say, 750-1000 pounds?

Thanks!

How long have you had Lyra? If you were in Mexico in 2000 we met you. Walt, LyricFrom: AlbinVega@yahoogroups.comTo: AlbinVega@yahoogroups.comDate: Wed, 6 Jul 2016 19:02:46 -0700Subject: RE: [AlbinVega] Re: Trailering the Vega

I'll gladly supply a picture showing how minke rests on the trailer. I've been satisfied with how she tows but I haven't weighed the trailer or measured the tongue weight.Later today...Alan

Walt - Nope, that wasn't us. Different Lyra. We only bought ours a few weeks ago. I think that boat has been renamed, hasn't it? The Lyra on VAGB?

Alan thank you for the pic. That looks like how ours now currently sits. I don't yet know the tongue weight, but its definitely enough. Maybe even a little more than optimal ... But better that than the opposite! I'd love to post a pic, but I haven't figured out how yet. Not a big yahoo groups user AND I'm technically challenged. LOL
