I have now trailered a 1987 23' Hunter and a 1990 23' Hunter. Both when trailering wander side to side limiting the speed traveling. 55 is ok until cars and semi's are doing 70 and 75 in both lanes and kind of looking at you with gritted teeth. I would at least like to get to 65 safely. I towed the 87 with a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the 1990 with a 97 Tahoe, I believe that the tongue weight is not enough. But I have to believe others have had the same problem. What did you do. I am planning to mount a compartment to hold the rudder and the motor near the "V" of the trailer. Maybe even the spare tire. The one other thing that I was hoping to do was mount an extension bar for launching offset of the regular ball. The original extension really isn't long enough for some of the areas that I launch in. And yes! After 10 months I have finally made it into the water for my first time with a larger boat. Had a 14' boat. My wife and I had a ball.
