I was on the Catalina 30 Association website looking at pictures and saw one of a C30 on a trailer (double axle). Does anyone know if this is safe and what kind of a vehicle do you need to tow a boat this size? Thanks CM
I bought a C320 in March, and it was delivered on a tandem axle trailer pulled by a one ton dually diesel pick up. The dealer said they use this truck/trailer combo for Catalinas even larger than mine. Keep in mind the delivery service was a pro, who does this for a living. I was rather surprised when this rig showed up to get my boat...I thought it would be shipped on a low boy.
Displacement: 11,700 (add 500 or so pounds for extra equipment) LOA: 32'6" Beam: 11'9" Mine is a wing keel, so it sits lower on the trailer than the fin keel by about 1'2".
