I need a trailer for a 30 foot Hunter sailboat. I bought a trailer on ebay and on the strength of having a trailer - bought a boat. When I went to pick the trailer up I found neither itnor the seller existed. I now have a boat in Michigan and need to get it to Saskatchewan.

Unfortunately, fraud has become pretty common on craigslist and ebay, especially for remote transactions and larger priced items.
Too bad that you have a boat (are you sure you do?)otherwise I could sell you one!!!(a REAL ONE)...I don't know what your question is or if you are just making a statement,but I would never buy an item like a trailer without seeing it first.

Can't help with a trailer, the only one I have large enough has my Ariel on it.
I looked at one a couple weeks ago for my Triton, but lost the guys number, if I find it I'll forward it to you.
Does your Hunter have a cradle? If so you could possibly rent a low-boy gooseneck for the trip.

Have you reported the fraud to the proper authorities and ebay? Surely there is something that can be done there.
As far as trailering a Hunter 30.....that is a fairly heavy boat and it takes a lot of strength to pull it. What type of vehicle do you have?
Finding a trailer suitable for hauling the boat may be hard. Stepping and unstepping the mast may also be very tough.

Look up marinas local to you and where the boat is....
Call them... ask advice on hiring a transporter to get it moved.... Marinas do this all the time - and will (usually) give advice... They know that people remember the help - and become customers - especially if local...
If you have a Boating Store of some time (West Marine or other) - go in and ask them....
New boat dealers.. they ""might"" have advice..
Yacht clubs - sailing clubs - another set of good sources... Give a call and ask...
Lots of people struggle with this question....
