I don't know the weight of the trailer alone, but I can tell you the boat is very easy to tow. I've towed my V21 back and forth to the lake (about 90 miles each way) with a four cylinder Toyota Camry for the past ten years with no problems whatsoever. Even with the AC cranked all the way and overdrive engaged, it pulls very easy. Give yourself a little extra room to stop and you'll be fine in the Taurus. I think the entire rig weighs about 1500 lbs. Stop by a scale at a truck stop sometime and get it checked. Lee lfox01@earthlink.net
