Can anyone help me understand the differences in the 2 basic trailer styles you see. Why bunks (typically long 2x6 boards, one on each side) versus the pad style (3 adjustable pads on each side) ? What would the Hunter 25.5 had as OEM ? Since it seems I read that the majority of the boats weight rests on the keel, or the side supports (bunk -vs- pad) more for support ? Thanks. Pads

I used to own a 25.5. I bought a used trailer and modified it to fit. Adjustable pads are the way to go especially if you do your own maintenence. You can drop the pads to bottom paint. With bunks you are out of luck unless you have access to a crane. I also installed all-thread so I could fine tune the pads.

I also own a 25.5 and prefer the pads for the same reason. Pads make bottom work a lot easier.

find hardware

I would like to change my trailer from bunk supports to pads with ajustable uprights. Where can I find this hard ware?
