Hire a hydraulic both ways
The Boat Exchange moved mine once,(12,500 lbs / 34'), and there are a couple of others out there for comparison pricing. I followed his 5th wheel hydraulic trailer up the interstate at around 80 mph with no problems... I think that the one way trip from Cape Canaveral to Jax was around $750. in 2001. His pricing is somewhat dependent on whether or not he has another load in the area at the time. They also rent trailers for power & pontoons...but show nothing for sailors on their website. He has a good rig and is/was insured....something else to think about when doing it yourself. You may re-think the value of your time as well. (www.theboatexchange.com)
