Just purchased 93 Hunter 19' water ballast sailboat. It did not come with a trailer. Here's my question, I have another boat (83 Mac 25 swing keel) with a trailer and want to use it to transport the Hunter about 20 miles to another marina. The bunks are 13.5 feet long and from rear edg of bunk to rubber "nose rest" is 19 feet. So it looks like from a length perspective all is ok. What should I look for/do with respect to contour of bunks on the H19? How sensitive are boats to even support? How (technique) would/should I adjust the bunks to match the hull contour? Any help appreciated. Also, eventually I would like to get a trailer for the H19. How do I go about finding one or "building" one? I called Hunter on this and they suggested I pose the question on this board.
