Trailer Make?

I have just purchased a 1977 Catalina 22 with trailer. There is a 5 diget serial number on the trailer but no Make. The trailer and boat were sold by Catalina to the original owner back in 1977. Here in Kansas I must have a tag to trailer it to lakes. Can anyone tell me the make of the trailers sold by Catalina dealers in Wilmette, IL? Is it a Catalina tailer?Thanks,

What does your registration or title say? I would

think that you recieved both with the sale of the boat and trailer. Most states require a title for both items. I know that all trailers come with titles and the title should have all the numbers required.If you bought a trailer without a title you need to go to your local state patrol or highway authority and find out what you need to licence these items.Good luck.RayS/V Speedy

Trail Rite are the folks who have made .....

their trailers for years.But, if you are sure the boat came with the trailer, you might give Catalina a call. They pride themselves on having the original sales orders on all their boats ever sold. It boat came with trailer, it would be on that invoice.Good luck,Brad

Kansas law

Unless the law changed in the last few years, Kansas does not require registration of titles for trailers (Missouri does). Are you sure you even need a tag for it in Kansas? I am trying to remember whether I had one or not when I had a trailerable boat in Kansas.
