I am looking for a used trailer or the specs to have one made. The manufacturer of the trailers for this boat is no longer in business. Please respond to VScott2103@aol.com

One option

Vaile, First, I wouldn't copy the single axle trailer design that came with the h23 anyway. I believe there are lots better designs that could be offered by any competent trailer manufacturer. Like tandem drop axles and torsion bars verses leaf springs. These two changes would make a world of difference in trailering and launching. If you have a builder in mind, you might try to find someone in your area that has a h23 trailer. You could have your builder get the basic measurements from it. Good Luck Ward

H23 Trailers

Vaile: Actually, at least two manufacturers provided trailers for the H23. Mine is made by Magic Tilt (and no, it doesn't actually tilt). Triad (check their website) will build custom trailers to just about any sailboat. Regarding the number of axles. Check with your state department of motor vehicles. For the combined weight of trailer and H23, your state might require tandem axles (yes, even for a boat as light as the H23), and/or surge brakes. To comply with current Ohio regulations, I had to add surge brakes to my Magic Tilt trailer. - Kevin.

trailer

I have to agree with Ward about the trailer , I would definitely go with a drop axle, Hunter sold these with the boats their complete package etc,and they are but, there is room for lots of improvement, before I had one built I would do lots of reading in the archives and then decide how I want my trailer then go to the trailer builder, I dont think most people who build trailers spend much time at the launch ramp, good luck Mike B
