trailer extension while attached to truck

My trailer is factory built with the extension that slides into the trailer. I don't even know who made it "DRYD" is on the title and I could not find it on the internet. It has a stopping bolt at the end and another locking hole when you slide it all the way out. My first thought was to attach a winch so when on the ramp I could let it out then winch it in when haul out but I realize the time lost and impeding other boaters. So I guess I will chock the wheels pull ahead then re pin and launch.

Do the craigslist thing and watch for an axle with electric brakes on it. Far and few but better than retail. Perhaps a trashed trailer in a boat yard

sunshinegirl, I don't need brakes my trailer is totally fine I was just looking for people who have extended the trailer tongue while still attached to the vehicle is all. I'm just trying to find ways to save time and hassle while at the ramp. But thank you for the input.

What comes from reading posts without my glasses on. I am happy with the pins I added. I unhook the light cable. Pul the horizontal pin
Put a block under one wheel then pull forward until it hit the back pins. Put in the horizontal pin and off to the ramp we go. Before it was so long and such work.

yes that is what I probably will be doing as well. There is a stop bolt at the end of my extension but it is past the last pin hole. I'm thinking of re drilling for the stopper bolt so when it stops the pin hole will line up, I may do a lot of solo sailing and I do not want to keep jumping in and out of the truck to line up the hole.

I unhook the light cable.

The car will unplug the light connection magically all by itself if you forget. Or so a friend told me. Yeah, that's the ticket. A friend told me.

Redrilled a new hole on both end too. The cord may come apart on some but my neighbors truck has a side plug to the boat. Harbor freight has wheel chocks but u really only need one.
