I have the standard trail rite trailer for my 75 catalina[5308]. The numbers are worn off the bearings so not sure what size. help?

I bet Walmart has those bearings. Trailer wheel bearings are pretty standard bearings. Take one out, clean it and take it with you to Walmart and match the od, id and width.....bet it fits. Better yet, use a digital caliper to get the measurements and compare. Also, tell that parts guy to go pound sand if he can't measure it for you.
You have a lot of the tractor supply company store in your area, They have always been helpful.

There is also a small chance that you could have some unusual size bearing that is no longer available or at least very hard to find. I've also got an old (home made) trailer for my '73 Cat and I had to buy all new hubs because we simply could not find bearings that matched the old worn out ones.

I was in the auto parts industry for 12 years. Trailer bearings are child's play to match up. Find a grown up parts person.
Find an American Bearing or Berry Bearing facility they will have, or can get, what you need. There could be a bearing supply under another name in your area. Also, go to a trailer parts supply-they may have them. Replace the seals while things are apart.
