I just did it!
Hey Dave, I posted a note here about a month ago for info on this but got NOresponses, so here is what I figured outand did it.I looked around and found a 12,000 lb.triple axle trailer, an old beat up onethat needed some work but it was structuraly sound. I U bolted my cradleto it and got ready to trailer. I foundout that in Mich. any thing with 3000lb.capacity needs a title, well this oneis a home built with no brakes, well toget a title I need a saftey insp. butthe brakes are no good on it. After some frustration and complainingI thought about a wrecker, well come to find out the wrecker is exempt from thepermits, brakes, liscence plates and allthat. Yea!! I had them haul it to myhouse, about 10 miles away, we did haveto go out of the way about 5 miles to avoid steep hills, but we made it noproblem. It sounds like you want to travel withyours, I advise you get a good trailerdouble axle 14,000 lbs or a triple axle12,000lbs and with real good brakes andyou shouldn't have any trouble. Contactyour state hwy. dept. for a $15.00 permit and the county road commision for the same. Oh yea I ratchet straped theboat down on front and back and I addedbracing to my cradle before i hauled it.GOOD LUCK, let me know how it goes!!Dean
