Tracking our travels

Our family has asked if there was a way to keep track of our travels. Is there a program or web site that allows us to enter time and position so that others may review our progress online? Ideally we enter date, time and position and a historical chronology is updated online. Ideas appreciated. Note: I know that sites such as Google will show present location but we're looking for something that tracks history. Thanks

I've used it primarily for that purpose for two seasons. It only hold the data for 7 days so someone has to copy it if you want a permanent record but it updates every 1 to 3 times an hour automatically or whenever you tell it to. It can also summon help via satellite either calling out Coast Guard and any other available resources or just a private help message to pre selected cell phones and email addresses.

I have an App on my iPhone I use called motionx-gps. you can search for their website. I am able to set waypoints and save tracks that show distance traveled, max speed, top speed, speed over time (3 minute snapshots) and see my track on a map.
