Towing weight 25

I just bought a sweet 1982 Catalina 25 with swing keel. I have an F150 half ton, 5.8 L V8. It towed home OK, but the towing capacity is listed at 7,000.
Can anyone estimate what the total weight of the boat, trailer and normal basic gear carried, like motor, battery, water in tanks, etc? I am thinking I need to get a 3/4 ton to be safe.
