I had my '79 30' Hunter towed from Hampton, VA to Tolchester, MD which is about a five drive via automobile. I found when I shopped the rates the charges were by the foot of the boat, by the loaded mile from point origin to point destination ($USD1179.00). extra charges for road permit fees. Origin charge (USD$780.00) remove boat from water,power wash, take down mast, wrap mast and wrap and mark rigging for travel, and set on truck, remove from truck and set on jack stands at destination. Question is: Is this the only way to get the boat where you want it and is the boat worth this expense.

Where to in Canada?

There are lots of H30's on the Great Lakes. How close are you? Cost of towing with a mover is very expensive. Boat is not oversized so could be moved with a large pickup truck or SUV and the right trailer.

Try searching the archives for your model and trailer specs. I am asuming you want to build or borrow a trailer to tow it with. I have a 1990 H27, built my own trailer and towed it my self. The cost of professional mover versis buying and modifying a trailer was a wash. now I can move or haul it anytime I want to with my 28' trailer!Good LuckJim
