Saw it just before totality this morning. My dawg and I get the paper each morning. He thought it was pretty cool, too. We even took my First Mate along to see it. Had to look beyond the tree limbs but it was well worth it.

We're looking forward to the total solar eclipse in August of 2017. It will pass directly over our house. I might have to put a bag over my dawg's head to keep him from looking before it's safely totalized, though.

Caught it at 5:45 central this morning. Pretty cool. Uranus was behind Earth too.

Mark your schedule apps now for Oct 23, when there is a 60 percent solar eclipse. Hhmmm... no time given for that.... probably some time after sunup???

I've never been able to find Uranus. I did see Neptune a year or so ago. It was low in the west. I was able to see it with OMG-sized binoculars. Not impressive at all other than knowing it was Neptune. But dang. I saw Neptune!

You just can't read that without chuckling. I'm so adolescent!

I only noticed where it was because I have the Stellarium app on my tablet. it works better on a smartphone.

Sheesh. This thread might help explain why they changed the pronunciation.
