Generally manufacturers will not tell you how many are built but one way is to go to boat shows in late year or early the following year and look at the hull number.
The first few letters will identify the manufacturer with the second set giving the model number and the next giving the actual number of the hull built and the last four when the hull was laid/model year.

CD Crazy Dave (manufactuerr)
145 Model 14.5 (daysailor)
0846 Hull 846 or 846 boats built
D4 Represent D for hull laid in April of 2004
04 Model year 04
I use to see the competition looking at those hull numbers. You will need to know what year the boat was first built.
