Was at the Toronto Boat Show yesterday.
True North Yachts were there with 4 Hunters, 33, 38, 46 & 49. Chatted with a couple of the reps for a while and of course tried to get me to trade up to the new 50, but they wouldn't take my 33 as an even trade
Overall, the show was ok. Seemed to be more people than last year as there were lines to get onto the various boats.
Sailboat area was definitley smaller than last year, with Bene, Catalina, C&C, Tartan, Island Packet, and a Lagoon 380 Cat, along with the Hunters. Each dealer had fewer boats there, which is not surprising given the economy and cost of carrying inventory etc.
Didn't venture into the powerboat end very much and spent more time in the chandlery area. Picked up a few things, some good prices on boat stuff, and chatted with a few of the other vendors and reps.
Spoke to the people from our marina and very pleased to learn my tarping job survived 110 km/hr winds ( 65 mph) while many others did not.
Good way to relieve the mid-winter / no boat blues.:cry:
