I was wondering if anyone has rigged up a throttle/gear shift mechanism for your outboard (I have a 9.9 johnson)where you can handle the controls from standing up in the cockpit? Sure would make docking a little easier than having to lean over/under the stern rail......seems like I saw pictures from someone who had done this about a yr or so ago....can't find them again......any ideas? Thanks, Bill

Rail Mount

Here's what I did on my Hunter 26. I'm sure it could be adapted to any boat with sternrails. The control is mjounted on a 1/2" thick piece of starboard cut to fit and mounted with clamps to the rail.
