Where does the topping lift attach to the mast head ? I am trying to rig the boat for the first time. Any photos / pictures appreciated. Thanks

It attaches..
It attaches to a clevis pin just in front of the backstay in the bracket. Both pins are the same size and are just aft of the sheaves. I wish I had taken some photos of the whole thing when I had it down last year.

Many thanks Russ. I guess that I will have to drill a new hole and insert a new clevis pin as there is only one to attach the backstay. Cheers

Haiti 1973
Don Many thanks for the photos. My Oday has had a long and colourful history. It has spent the majority of its life in Haiti having been shipped there in 1973 by the then Canadian Ambassador. It passed through successive hands living through the reigns of Baby Doc Duvalier, Arisitde and all the political termoil in that country. I bought it 4 years ago when working in the country and had it shipped on top of a container vessel via Miami to the UK where I now live (I am a Brit !). It was a wreck when I bought it and so I have spent all this time renovating it. This year will be the first time back on the water in about 8 years ! The topping lift is one of the last fitting out jobs. Thanks for your help with this. Jonathan
