I NEED TO REPLACE MY TOP LIFT,AND WOULD LIKE TO DO OTHER REPARES ON MY C-27 1976.THIS INVOLVES CLIMBING THE MAST ANY ADVICE ON GETING DOWN?I'LL USE A CLIMBING HARNESS AND THE MAIN HALYARD. I HAVE A BLOCK ON MY MAST.SHOULD I EVEN REPLACE THAT OLD TOP LIFT?

Rigid Vang is the Way To Go

I agree with Bob. The rigid vang is the way to go. I sailed a couple of weeks ago with a friend that installed one last year and I love it. May try to get a hold of one later this year -- If my boat funds allow. Good luck!!
