Just used one of these in concert with a magnet on an extendable stick to recover a tiny glow plug nut from the unseeable backside of my 3YM30 that I fumbled while reassembling blindly.

My favorite tools for nuts and bolts are wobble extensions and ratchet wrenches. As for a ratchet set, try to find one that doesnt require you to use another tool to remove the sockets from the case but keeps them in place during transportation
So many of the fasteners on boats are made with non-ferrous metals. This little device works great for capturing these small items in tight and difficult spaces. Mine does not bend, just straight and maybe 16" long. Verify your identity
