The Gulfport (MS) boat show was this last weekend. Almost a rainout but the weather held and I took my wife on one of the Discover Boating mini sail classes to see if she'd like a sailing class. She had a blast and on a bigger boat didn't get an ounce of seasick (yay!)

She's up for taking ASA classes in the future which would quickly bump her along the learning curve and give her a boost of confidence.

That's great!! Another convert!! My wife and I took ASA sailing courses in the grenadines, just us two and the instructor. It was GREAT!! Had a bareboat charter vacation, and got certifications to boot!! I think the BVIs, and probably several other Caribbean places offer that as well. It's a good way to do it if you're thinking about that.

That's cool! I went Saturday. Got on that 50ft Beneteau. Dang, that was a lot of teak deck. That Corsair F24 was pretty fine too! (But not quite 75k fine...)

Hey LooseD!
That was a lot of boat...(I think I got drool on several of them...nice!)

But the newer Benes are a bit sterile with all that white in them, I wish they had more wood trim like the hunters.

What do you think about the round cockpits on newer sailboats? What do you do for foot support in those wide cockpits when your legs obviously don't reach the other side?

( I'll post that question in a new thread to get feedback from owners if rounded cockpits.)
